You know those ‘JUST NO’ days? This is one of them.
Pushing through days where you aren’t feeling mentally well is important to fighting the negativity of mental illness.
The gym has become my ‘non-negotiable’ in mental illness. It doesn’t matter how bad things get, I have to make it to the gym for at least 45 minutes or 400kcal a day. I’ve cried multiple times at the gym (as my PT has seen too!), but this has been vital for me to open up and power through a session to get my endorphins pumping, ultimately helping me to battle through the difficult days.
I’m not a gym junkie (yet!) but every day, I’m feeling stronger and better about myself.
That’s why I push through, even on my ‘JUST NO’ days.
