Hey there! I’m Elisabeth, and welcome to my personal blog. As a lover of all things learning, I’m here to share with you all my experiences of what it means to be a better leader, a better global citizen, and everything in between.
My goal is to help people to figure out what they can give to the world. I’m very lucky to have some incredible figures and mentors helping me to figure out my path in life.
By sharing my experiences – personal and professional – I am hoping that I help you on your journey too.
Who am I?
Growing up, I never knew what I wanted to do, but I got the marks to go to law school and so I did.
Then I got my law degree. It now sits above the TV (not quite gathering dust – my mother wouldn’t allow that).
I did, however, do a few things on the way. I worked for the NSW Minister for Better Regulation and Innovation, got appointed to a few panels, and committees, and have given a few speeches here and there. I’ve also helped to build a start up with a community which is 90,000+ strong. I also got an award or two along the way.
Since leaving Uni, I’ve explored my interests. Right now, I’m in Government with employment at the NSW Department of Justice, having just left the NSW Telco Authority, and met some pretty amazing people (and boss ladies) along the way.
I’m currently writing my second novel, and learning lots about writing while I’m at it.
What keeps me busy?
Besides my work at the NSW Department of Justice, I keep myself relatively busy.
I’m a huge lover of education, so life as Art of Smart’s Community Engagement Manager keeps me occupied. I regularly hit the gym (at least 6 times a week) and hang out with my deaf Bull Arab, Coco. I’m also a Teutophile, and lover of Western World war history (the niche type). I’m also a keen writer and reader. I’m also Buddhist so there’s nothing like a good daily metaphysical crisis.
